How much does GhostLM cost?

GhostLM is free to use! However, you can unlock higher usage limits with a $20/month subscription.

Do I need my own API keys?

No! We handle all the API integrations for you. Your messages go through us to the LLM providers.

Which AI models are supported?

We support all current (and some non-current) models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and more. If you want to use a model that's not yet available, please email us at

Is my data really private?

Your privacy is important to us. We never log your chats. While your messages are sent to LLM providers for processing, they do not receive any information that could identify you, nor can they link one of your chats to another.

Can I export my conversations?

Yes! You can export your entire conversation history as JSON.

When will it be available?

Will there be Windows/Linux versions?

Maybe. We're not sure yet.

Can I create custom AI personalities?

Yes! You have full control over system prompts and can adjust all parameters like temperature, frequency penalty, and presence penalty. Create as many custom personalities as you want - from coding assistants to creative writers to philosophical debaters.

How is this different from just using API keys directly?

API keys are great if you want to manage billing across multiple providers, handle rate limits yourself, build your own interface, and deal with different authentication systems. Most people don't. We handle all that complexity so you can focus on actually using AI.

Won't this just get shut down by AI providers?

We're not doing anything they prohibit. We're essentially a paid client that doesn't log data. If anything, we're giving them more business by making their models accessible to people who don't want to deal with API complexity.

What happens to my data if you go out of business?

Your conversation history is already on your device in open formats. Export it anytime as JSON, CSV, or plain text. We're not holding your data hostage because we don't have it in the first place.

Can I really create any kind of AI personality?

Within the bounds of what the underlying models allow, yes. We don't add extra restrictions beyond what GPT-4, Claude, etc. already enforce. Want a harsh critic? A creative collaborator? A patient teacher? A philosophical debate partner? Go for it.
